Privacy Policy

Last updated July 2026

losttou.ch is a small static website. This policy explains, plainly, what happens (and mostly what doesn't happen) with your data when you visit.

What we don't do

Hosting logs

This site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like virtually all web hosts, GitHub's servers may log basic technical information for every request — things like IP address, browser type, and requested page — for security and reliability purposes. losttou.ch does not have access to individual-level logs beyond aggregate traffic statistics, and does not combine this data with anything else. See GitHub's own documentation on data collection for Pages sites for details of what GitHub itself collects.

Cookies and local storage

losttou.ch does not set its own tracking or advertising cookies. The site's affiliate-link script (described below) does not use cookies at all — it only rewrites link URLs in your browser when the page loads. If we ever add privacy-friendly, non-invasive analytics (for example, an aggregate, cookie-free page-view counter) to understand which guides are useful, this policy will be updated first to say so plainly.

Affiliate and outbound links

Some articles link out to third-party retailers, including Amazon, as described in our Affiliate Disclosure. Once you click an outbound link and leave losttou.ch, that retailer's own privacy policy and cookie practices apply, not ours. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes — for example, if we add a mailing list or analytics tool in the future — we will update this page with a new "last updated" date and describe the change clearly.
