What an affiliate link is

An affiliate link is a normal link to a product or service that includes a small tracking code identifying that the click came from this site. If you click that link and go on to make a qualifying purchase, the retailer (for example, Amazon) pays this site a small commission. You do not pay anything extra, and the price you see is the same price you'd see visiting the retailer directly.

Where you'll see them

Some articles on losttou.ch mention specific products — a keepsake box, a photo scanner, a fountain pen, a memory-keeping app — where that product is directly relevant to the topic. Any such mention that is (or may become) a paid affiliate link is marked with a dashed underline in the article text, and every article that contains these mentions carries a short reminder near the top of the page.

How we choose what to recommend

The rule on this site is simple: the content comes first. Products are chosen because they genuinely fit the guide they appear in, based on the author's own research and reasoning about what would actually help — not because a given retailer or brand pays a higher commission. Whether or not a link happens to carry a tracking tag at any given moment does not change which products are mentioned or how they're described.

losttou.ch is a new, independent project.
